Fantastic French

Hello, kia ora, and Salut Bloggers.

If you know what these words I wrote mean kai pai. If you don't it's ok because you are about to learn. They mean Hello in English, Maori and French, But today we're focusing on the French side. I have made a slideshow showing you all about French and how to tell someone about yourself in French!

At first, the only word of French that I knew was Bonjour, But me and my class got some help from the teacher and we have created animations and whole conversations in french. 

Credit to my teacher Mr g for helping me learn a little bit of basic French and incorporating it into my work.

Fabulous Themes

 Hello and Kia ora bloggers, 

Today I am posting a Slideshow on the theme of Harry Potter! Firstly this was a task by my teacher in literacy time to show the theme of one of your favorite Tv shows, Film or game the only rule was that the one you pick must have a narritive. 

I chose Harry Potter because it is a fan favorite, a lot of people already know it and none else was going to use it, it felt like the perfect one to chose. Watch my slideshow to find out what theme I chose and why.

Caution around Covid

 Hello, bloggers again.

Today we are talking about lock-down, I can't believe that it has been almost are year since we were in lock-down. This lockdown was caused by Covid but not just any covid the DELTA variant of covid. The DELTA variant is twice as infectious as the normal covid and is much faster. 

NZ was one of the last countries to get DELTA and we acted fast.

At first, we didn't even know that the case was delta although we didn't know we went into lock-down that night, and good we did.

It's me LP obviously, anyway today I am posting my marshland MANA slideshow! oh, you don't know what MANA is? Well.. MANA is a Maori word that means many things MANA stands for Manaakitanga, AKO, Ngathai, and Aumangea. Manaakitanga means Kindness and care, AKO means learning and wisdom, Ngathai means working together and togetherness and Aumangea means strength and courage. My team (Honey Till A.J and me ) Took these four words and sorted them into colors houses and animals.

 This is our final product.

What we have done is rebrand the houses originally the students had no say in the names of the houses, colors, or even what house we wanted to be in. This way we have a say. Did you know that origanly the names of the houses (Korowai, Harakeke, Whitau and kahu kiwi

Magnifisent Minecraft palace

Today I am posting a slideshow for my Inquiry. For inquiry we have been doing an Aladdin production (A drama play) I am an Agrabahn in the play and while we are not working we need to be doing a slideshow on a bunch of Aladdin activities. This activity is where I needed to build the Aladdin palace in Minecraft. This slideshow will show you images that I have taken of my Minecraft palace.

I am Lp Obviously and this is my STEAM work for Wednesday (STEAM stands for Science Technology engineering art and Math) We had to design it and think about structure, Strenth, and other important things. I worked in a team of five with Ava, Alexie, Honey, and Tilly. We worked on a stable tower/table that could hold some books and see how it could hold, this is how it turned out.

Magnifisent Matariki art

Kia ora bloggers and Welcome back today I am posting a photo about my Matariki art! Did you know that Matariki is on the 20th of July this year? This image shows seven swirls they represent the seven stars of Matariki. I  Firstly sketched out the mountain range and stars with the swirls did you know that the mountain range I used is Aoraki? I also had to sketch everything out backwards, Then I went on and copied my image out on foam after that I put different coloured ink on the foam and put it on a card. This flipped the image back over and came out amazing. Did you know that Matariki is the start of the Maori new year? Do you like my art? And is there anything I could have done better? Kia ora bloggers today I am posting my work for Science 

I learned all about the sense of touch. We had a blindfold and a little prickly clipper that can adjust and you had to say to your buddy if you felt one of two pricks on different body parts, And me and my buddy ava found out the answers to our questions Firstly What surprised you? We were surprised that our sensetive parts had a big difference then the nonsensitive parts. Did your brain trick you? Yes, some of the answers were different from what was actually happening. Do people sense things differently? Yes, I and ava had some different results. As you can see in the image we didn't have enough time to fill in all the spaces and get all the answers but we do have a rough estimate. Do you like Science? Today I am posting my Hundertwasser art I was inspired by him to create this art. I have used elements like squiggly lines a floting gaint eye and a hidien face (Can you find it ?) . Hundertwasser likes playful childish art he is Famous for never using straight lines. Have you ever seen his art? Do you like my colors ? Talking about colors we used a special color wheel and we chose either comlermentry of analgous colors, analgous colors are colors that are next to each other on the color wheel like Red and Orandge, and comlermentry colors are colors that are oposite each other like purple and yellow.
