Kia ora Lily-Piper, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
ReplyDeleteYou have come up with some extremely awesome and caring ways to help the people affected by the fires in Australia.
Collecting donations seems to be one of the main things you have focused on in your post, and I think that is an excellent way to help all of our friends in Australia.
In situations like these everything helps, even if it is just a tin of beans or a pair of socks!
Have you ever donated anything to a charity before? If so, when?
I always donate any clothes that don’t fit me to my local op-shop. I also try to buy the majority of my clothes from these kinds of stores as well so I am contributing to the charities as well as helping reduce the amount of waste I am creating.
It truly is sad to hear about all of the people and animals losing their homes to the fires in Australia, and I hope that all of the effort going into stopping these fires will be worth it in the long run! Seeing the wrecks and ruins of the burnt houses is a horrible sight, so your fifth option of sending as much love as you can is fantastic. I am sure that everyone affected by these fires would be exceedingly grateful to know you were thinking about them!
Have you ever been to Australia?
Australia is such a beautiful country, so it is sad to see how the fires have spread and are destroying nearly everything in their path.
Hopefully the firefighters can get some control over them so all of our friends in Australia can relax again!
